confidence in the product despite the closure of the division that
originally built and supported the product line. I was the program manager
for the development of a DSL to IPTV conversion system including the rapid
recovery of the program when the major third party vendor ceased business
operations before the completion of the project. I was responsible for the
successful implementation of a major Fiber-to-the-Home GPON network
installation at a major telecom provider, delivered on time and on budget.
Comverse, Inc. 2005
Senior Program Manager

successfully managed a program to develop software, install it in the

I re-wrote a major portion of the Program Management Process Manual to
simplify it and to allow flexibility based on program size and scope.
Tektronix, Inc. 1997 - 2003
Director of Engineering
I was responsible for all development of SONET/SDH test equipment for
Tektronix. I managed a multi-site development group of 65 people. I
championed an improvement in the development process methodology that
resulted in exceptional time to market for a 10GB/Sec SONET/SDH tester
allowing Tektronix to gain marked leadership. I introduced a new software
architecture which accelerated time to market---adopted by other product
lines within Tektronix. I established a program management discipline
within the engineering organization which supported the corporate Program
Management Office.

the database product and application development toolset.
Boston Technology, Inc. 1990-1992
Director of Engineering Program Management; VP of Engineering
I setup the engineering PMO for this company as it emerged from its startup

with the telco customers and made significant quality improvements as
measured by Bellcore's auditing process. I brought the management and
resolutions of customer software problems under control. I prepared the
first product roadmap in the company's history. I was the customer program
manager for voicemail installations at Bell Atlantic labs. I prepared the
operating plans for the R&D department and introduced project management
principles to the company.
