Principal Quality Engineer/Manager 1992 - 1995

Managed the incoming inspection function including the activities of three

engineers and nine support staff.

Developed a supplier report card to track Delivery and Quality Performance,

which increased supplier awareness and resulted in an annual supplier award

dinner.

Implemented a new Supplier Survey form and procedure, which enabled Coulter

to meet cGMP and ISO requirements in preparation for ISO certification.

Led the first team to complete documentation for ISO 9002 certification.

Manager, Supplier Support 1990 - 1992

Managed the Supplier Quality and the Supplier Process Engineering functions

to provide liaison to suppliers.

Directed the implementation of Statistical Process Control at suppliers'

facilities, which increased the quality of incoming material by 17%.

Developed and taught training courses for suppliers in SPC, SMED and ISO

9001 to increase quality awareness which resulted in an increase of the

quality of incoming material by 15%.

Developed a Preferred Supplier application program with MIS to track

procedures pertaining to Incoming Inspection and Calibration. Interfaced

directly with suppliers in regard to quality issues.

Established a Supplier-To-Stock (JIT) program, which reduced inspection

time resulting in reduction of personnel by 50%.

Conducted on-site vendor surveys, which resulted in a reduction of

suppliers from over 800 to less than 200 suppliers.
