Sales & Marketing Manager - MatTek Corp. is a bio-engineering company

located in the Greater Boston area. Because of the way the company's best

prospects (primarily life science researchers and toxicologists) search for

information on new products and then communicate with companies that

interest them, the vast majority of my marketing and sales duties were

performed online.

Specific Marketing/Sales accomplishments included:

o Coordinated production of a peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed "VIDEO article"

of our most recently validated test protocol to facilitate product

understanding by new prospects and also act as an online training tool.

o Primary author, "The MatTek Story" technical article published in ATLA, a

oversaw its conversion to a database-driven content management system

(CMS)

o Continuously added Web site content and optimize for indexing by major

campaigns, 175-plus separate ads covering over 1,000 keyword search

phrases)

BOTTOM LINE: During my 8-plus year tenure, Web page views increased almost

1,450% and Web site visits have increased almost 1,700% (2001 vs. 2009).

As a direct result, sales of the 2 major MatTek product lines increased

over 300%, and 2010 YTD sales of the primary product line were over 30%

ahead of 2009 YTD sales.

Started an online/traditional marketing consulting business after being

laid off from TechTarget and while continuing to seek full-time employment.

TECHTARGET, INC.

Last Position: Director, eMarketing Initiatives

TechTarget is an online publisher that creates and operates a portfolio of

25 B2B vertical Web search engine/portals targeted at narrowly focused IT

(Information Technology) market segments.

Laid off in 2001 - layoffs precipitated by reduction in IT industry

advertising spending ("dot com" bubble burst).

Major responsibilities included:

o Coordinated cross-site marketing activities for eCommerce partnership and

Career Centers partnership programs

o Search engine Optimizing (SEO) of all TechTarget sites for best possible

positioning in the major search engines

o Planned and implemented a full function Affiliate Marketing Program

o Also acted as Site Manager, whatis.com, the leading online IT

encyclopedia and a TechTarget property

o Other duties included: opt-in email list selection and purchase; outbound

email campaign creation (HTML and text formats), mailing and tracking;

evaluation and participation in other Web site and online newsletter

sponsorship opportunities.

Joined TechTarget in January 2000 as Marketing Director, Site Launches.
