Experience
My position as a Grocery Stock Clerk consists of stocking shelves with products. I started my grocery
experience in the produce department, and at times the floral department. My tasks were/are, but not
limited to: stocking shelves, helping customers, lifting up to 50 lbs. assisting with product inventory, taking
phone orders, and fresh food preparations. I then went on to the grocery department, where I worked in the
dairy/frozen departments. I also assisted the scanning coordinator with making signs, and changing price
tags on the shelves. In the dairy/frozen departments I was responsible for making sure the shelves are filled
with products, maintain presentation of the departments, assisted with product inventory, lifting, cleaning
out the coolers, writing product orders, and customer service. I also have child care knowledge and
experience obtained from a volunteer service. A church based organization where I took care of the infants
and toddlers, for approximately 13 years. My mom was a licensed home day care provider for 8 years. I
helped with the children in play, activities, learning, and food preparations. Also, in High School, when
signing up for a Child Development class, we the students had to teach the preschool class affiliated inside
the High School. I had part in taking responsibility of planning the student’s activities/lessons on scheduled
days. I’ve recently obtained a Certification from the Security Training Center, Inc. for the state of Illinois,
for Un armed Security Officer.
Objective
My objective is to have the opportunity to expand critical thinking, problem solving skills and leadership
abilities. Obtaining knowledge in a productive and mature environment so I can learn and excel at any task
or job given to me. My skills include handling detail work, imagining new solutions, adapting new
procedures, enthusiasm, teamwork, and cooperation, knowledge of concepts and principles, skillfully
applying professional knowledge, picking out important information, gathering information, setting
priorities, becoming actively involved, teaching/instructing/training individuals, thinking in a logical
manner, reporting information, delegating responsibility, summarizing information, making decisions,
taking personal responsibility, taking independent action, collaborating ideas, mechanically inclined,
motivating others, tolerating interruptions, inventory controlling, attention to detail and much more.
