Summary of the project

Development of Application Programming Interfaces (API's) for Sears,

Kmart, Craftsman and MyGofer websites. These API's can be consumed by

any developers who has to request for a developer key and expose the

retail products sold be these stores to the outside world. The

response structures were mainly XML's based on XSD but JSON were also

supported. The consumers include third party flash application

designers, catalog managers and mobile apps which supports iPhone,

Blackberry and Android.

Summary of the project

Sears/Kmart, as part of their integration roadmap, planned to

implement their next generation integrated E-Commerce platform. The

new platform was powered by IBM Websphere Commerce Server (WCS)

version 6.0, released in June 2006 by IBM. The existing eCommerce web

sites fronts (Sears.com, Kmart.com, Craftsman.com, Kenmore.com etc)

was re-designed into the new platform, with two key milestones of

Kmart.com going live on the new platform by February 2007 and

Sears.com going live on the new platform during April 2007. As a

developer, was involved in the browse redesign which was powered by a

third party search engine Mercado and in the batch job applications.

sell their merchandise across 25 states in the US.

The project Merchandizing System Support (MSS) Legacy and Retek

Merchandizing System (RMS) Support (NORDMSS) involves maintenance

services for Nordstrom Merchandising applications including legacy

and Retek packages. The business objective of this project NORDMSS is

to support and maintain Client's mission-critical merchandising

applications as per Service level agreement.
