Genesis Networks (New York, NY) – Network Operations Coordinator with Team Leader Duties

Responsibilities include operation of integrated software, fiber and satellite networking systems to

provide real-time video transmission services to various broadcast, cable and multimedia industries.

Manages Global Private IP network of switches in over 100 Points of Presence worldwide which included

monitoring and directing traffic throughout the IP network. Responsible for maintenance of all video

devices and telecommunication circuits.

May 2004 – December 2006

MTV/Viacom Network Operation Center (Hauppauge, NY) – Media Management Supervisor

Responsible for ensuring that all materials are recorded, ingested, prepped, dubbed and available for air

by overseeing the automation ingestion and content review (quality assurance) of commercial and

promotional materials and managing server maintenance and purges for over 20 cable channels. Also

responsible for re-ingest and quality control of all programming to meet FCC guidelines with regards to

closed captioning. Ensures that all problem reports are accurate, generated and available for reference.

Duties also include supervising and mentoring department staff by establishing and monitoring

procedures and keeping error rates of staff members to a minimum. Manages employee schedule and

duty rotation.

MTV/Viacom Network Operation Center (Hauppauge, NY) – NOC Graphics Coordinator

Loaded pre-produced graphics to Logomotion and Pinnacle Thunder Systems for on-air use. Also

produced credit crunches for multiple networks as scheduled; performed quality control for all graphics

playout on OASIS systems and Deko Cast systems. Inserted chryons on all music videos using Chyron-

Max and clip-titler system. Promoted to Media Management Supervisor.

January 2001 – June 2003

MTV/Viacom Network Operation Center (Hauppauge, NY) – Media Management Cache Operator

Provided in and out segment cues and dub requests using various tape formats like Harris Media Client

Systems for D2, Beta SP, Digi-beta and HD-CAM format tapes. Encoded video elements to digital servers

and archives. Adjusted video and audio levels as needed using vector scope and waveform monitoring for

all commercials and programming for network quality. Recorded satellite feeds, fiber feeds, and live

closed captioned programs for on-air use. Prepped all taped material using Media Client Software for

ingest to playout servers. Ensures the transfer of all media materials via digital delivery and Telestream

box and FTP Servers. Produced programming and commercial blocks for Nick on CBS and created

compilation reels for the storage of all music videos. Promoted to NOC Graphics Coordinator.

August 2000 – January 2001

Monitored multiple networks for on-air quality. Ensures scheduled commercials and programming are

loaded into the playlist at the appropriate times and make changes as needed to ensure continuity of the
