Senior Electrical Engineer, Participated in THE EXXONMOBIL'S Umbrella
Contract Projects: ( FCC NOX NSR Compliance Project, Billings Refinery, MO(
West Distribution Center, Billings Refinery, MO ( CO Boiler Temperature
Control, Billings Refinery, MO ( Flare Gas Control Project, Beaumont-TX
Electrical systems design in 480 V, 2400 V, 5kV and 13.8 kV voltages.
Activities developed: reviewed and approved vendor documents for packaged
substation including the building, external and internal bus-ducts, battery
charger, Hvac and fire protection, MV and LV switchgears & motor control
centers. Prepared requisitions, specifications and data sheets for: MV
power cables, Motor cubicles, GE Multilin motor relay, MV breakers and
Switchgear modifications. Prepared the scope of work narrative, one-line
diagrams, electrical load list, lighting, grounding, conduit routing, area
classification and control schematics. Prepared requisition for Electrical
Heat Tracing Systems and reviewed winterizing vendor isometrics, bill of
materials, wiring & control schematics and layouts. Approved induction
motors vendor documents from 5 hp to 1300 hp. Utilized Marian program.
Calculated voltage drop, cable pulling and performed short-circuit
analysis. Prepared MV motors control scheme and feeders including selection
of hardware as CT, PT and relays, switchgear cabinets and ducts

Instrumentation Engineer, NSR ULNB Replacement Project - Furnace F-700and
Boiler B-8, Feed Billings Refinery, MO. Added instruments to P&ID diagrams.
Utilized PFD diagrams and pipeline list. Prepared Instrument Index; I/O
List; Cause and Effect matrix; Data sheets for Thermocouples; Level
instruments (glass, magnetic); pressure transmitters; and differential
pressure transmitters. Reviewed electrical design drawings for furnace
burners' panels. Revised demolition MTO and drawings.
EDEC, Caracas, Venezuela from February 1993 to April 2007
Project Electrical Engineer (1999 - 2007), responsible or participated
in the following projects:
( PDVSA Cantinas Oil Storage Plant Project 5 KV. Coordinated the design
of a power line, and a substation project. Prepared deliverable
drawings and requisitions packages including technical evaluation of
bids TBT. Utilized international and PDVSA standards.
( 230 KV El Sitio Power Plant Pre-Feed Package. Lead of discipline for
electrical project included two substation and the interconnection power
lines.
( EDEC-Projects, Operations and Maintenance Department. Directed a staff of
engineers and other technicians to develop over 200 minor industrial
projects, among hospitals, malls and residences, with a median demand of
500 kVA. Activities: Reviewed and approval design supported commissioning,
construction and maintenance, troubleshooting. Demand calculations, field
surveying, scheduling, logistics, equipment and cable sizing, fault
analyses, voltage drop calculations, material take off and equipment
requisitions.
Electrical Engineer (1993 to 1999)
( 30/4.8 kV - 10 MVA Substation Transformers. Reviewed and approved the
vendor package. Inspected the routine test at Alstom in Istanbul-Turkey.
( Power Lines restoration, Vargas, Venezuela. Coordinated the engineering
design for rebuilding of power lines after landslides.
( 69 - 230 kV overhead Line Projects. Designed over 10 projects of overhead
power lines. Included route selection, support localization, wire sag &
tension calculation and clearances. Prepared cable requisitions. Inspected
FAT test at Pfisterer's in Stuttgart, Germany.
Vepica, Caracas, Venezuela from April 1990 to January1993
Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, important projects
accomplished:
( PDVSA, Gas-duct Interaction Refineries Amuay and Cardon. Designed in
LV 480/ 120 V, installations to feed motorized valves and lighting.
( PDVSA, Catalytic Converter- Cardon Refinery, and PDVSA, Revamp of the
Fuel Blender Project; El Palito-Refinery. Prepared data sheets for
transmitters, motorized valves, and gauges. Designed junction boxes,
field cable routing, wiring diagrams, instrument locations, loops.
Intrasel, Caracas, Venezuela from November 1989 to April 1990
Electrical Engineer Specialist, projects accomplished:
(EDELCA, Revamp HV Substations, 115 kV Caroni and 230 kV la Raiza.
Designed modifications for the substations, incoming power lines, cable
entrance views, and layouts. Prepared wire routing drawings (from field to
