facility, and then slowly moving the transient voltage suppressor

line one operation at a time from Raleigh to China, and then from

Mexico to China. Played a key role in training Chinese

counterparts.

. Managed the logistics of setting up the finishing operations for

several product lines in Mexico and then coordinating the full

production between Raleigh and Mexico.

. Coordinated with the corporate IS Project manager on the

development and implementation of a new Corporate Shipping System.

. Managed the implementation of the administrative PC Network system.

. Added the new transient voltage suppressor line to the shop floor

control and inventory management systems.

. Facilitated the move of the shop floor control and inventory

management of all product lines from the interim PC network to the

AVX IBM mainframe system. Included learning the features and

functionality of the IBM system and acting as the facility trainer

for this new system.

. Assisted with the conversion to a new production part numbering

system to mesh with the AVX shop floor control system after the

sale of the facility by Corning to AVX.

Plant Production Control Supervisor

10/87 to 7/90

. Supervised the production control and semi-finished inventory for

several product lines.

. Played a significant role in the smooth conversion of the shop

floor control and inventory management system from the Corning

system to an interim PC Network after the facility was sold to AVX.

. Set-up and managed the logistics of supplying the finished chips to

the overseas locations for finishing after packaging operations

were established overseas.

. Managed the move of a resale product warehouse from Vancouver, WA

to Raleigh, NC.

Plant Productivity Supervisor

4/87 to 10/87

. Responsible for the plant training programs for both hourly and

salaried personnel.

For Hourly Production Personnel

. Prepared and issued training books consisting of the applicable

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and checklists based on the

SOPs.

Shift Supervisor, Ceramics Forming

. Supervised production operations in the Ceramics Forming department

on an eight hour shift.

. Responsible for production rates and productivity, scheduling and

prioritizing of maintenance work on given shift, individual

employee training and evaluations, safety and housekeeping, and

maintaining good relations with the union.

PMS Coordinator

1/82 to 11/82

. Responsible for the management of the plant Process Management

System (PMS) which included documentation for materials, process,

equipment and experimentation.

. Coordinator responsibilities included audit scheduling and follow-

up, assisting with writing of new documentation, proof-reading,

managing documentation revision system, maintaining documentation

stations in the factory.

Process Engineer

9/80 to 1/82

. Responsible for process definition and control in the metallization

and testing operations of the manufacture of multilayer ceramic

capacitors.

. Maintenance of the Process Standard Operating Procedures and
