Service Center Operations Manager

Managed fast paced distribution center responsible for safety, production

planning, scheduling, assembly, quality assurance and customer

satisfaction. Led 15 employees.

. Managed the assembly and logistics of reels, providing JIT service to the

wire and cable industry.

. Formed a Safety Team and reinforced safe work habits through daily,

weekly, and quarterly programs.

. Analyzed and developed a pressurized conveyor belt to assemble 4200 reels

per day. Reduced assembly time from 16 hours to 4 hours, resulting in

increased production and improved efficiency.

. Modified plywood assembly stations to assembly line formation increasing

assembly rate from 20 reels per man-hour to 35 reels per man-hour.

. By determining the center of gravity of 120" flanges and making a pin,

safely incorporated these reels into assembly operation without the need

for handling.

. Eliminated 100% of customer complaints due to poor quality by initiating

a quality assurance program at the warehouse.

. Managed assembly and logistics providing reels to wire and cable

industry.

. By welding legs to assembly jig, created a safer and more stable

operation when jigs were raised or lowered.

. Changed from slotted bolts to hex head bolts resulted in no breakage or

slipping of sockets, which eliminated hand injuries and made for easier

assembly.

. By changing from a T - nut to a propeller nut, the nut would be flush

with the flange creating a uniform product.
