Bio)
Adam Behr is an Award-winning international voice artist, with a 20 year
background in film, television and commercial production. He is a trained
voice artist, producer, puppeteer, actor, designer, art director, special
effects artist and businessman, with numerous credits in each one of these
categories. He holds a Post graduate degree in Dramatic Arts, and numerous
other certificates for Voiceover course training.
As a Voice Artist, Adam has worked with many of the world's top companies
such as CNN, CBS, BBC America, Sony, Coca-Cola, The World Health
organization, Shell,, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Clearchannel,
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, KBR-Halliburton, Mattel, Mainframe, Electronic
Arts, John Hancock,Harley-Davidson, Blockbuster, US Health, CCP Games, X-
Box, Land Rover, Moneygram, BMW and Harley Davidson Stores, Restaurant
chain commercials and many more...He has a home voiceover studio and mobile
voiceover studio.He has voiced many major characters in animation and
videogames, including major titles for Electronic Arts, and is the voice of
"Titanium Chef" the lead villain in CBS's "Sushi Pack".
As a business developer, Adam started successful business from scratch,
with no capital and developed them into profitable, successful entities.
Most recently in voiceover, in 2005 he was still taking lessons, and just
four years later has a home studio, clients all over the world and is
attached as Voice producer to several international projects.
He's worked as a puppeteer and effects artist on many major Hollywood
projects, including Muppet movies, Cats and Dogs, I, Robot, Alien vs
Predator 2, Snakes on a Plane, Snow Dogs, Slither, The Santa Clause 2,
Scary Movie 3, The Sixth Day, and Willard, among others and TV credits
include, The X-Files, Millennium, Stargate SG-1, The outer Limits,
Poltergeist, The New Addams Family, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The
Next Mutation, and many more..
Adam is a very versatile performer, working in more than 25 different
accents in many different mediums of voiceover, including Animation, Promos
and Movie trailers, Documentaries, Audiobooks, Commercials, Industrials,
Corporate I.D.'s and messaging, and a multitude of other media
applications. He is the signature voice of various products and channels,
including Bio-oil, and the Afrotainment channel.He has also done voiceover
work in Afrikaans, Zulu, and Swahili.
Awards include the 2007 Voicey Award for "Best Male Voice of the year",
and nominations for the 2008 Voicey in the "Best Foreign Voice " category,
and Gemini Nomination for Special Effects Make-Up for Stargate SG-1,
Applied Arts Design Award, and Society of Industrial Editors recognition
for Excellence in Art Direction.

Adam Behr has been active professionally in film and television since 1987.
Originally from South Africa, Adam moved to Canada in 1994.
Educated at the School of Dramatic Arts (Wits University -S.Africa), he is
a trained producer, puppeteer, voice actor, production and costume
designer, art director, actor, director, casting director, special make-up
effects artist and business administrator, with numerous credits in each
one of these categories - (see resume.)
He founded "Adam Behr Kinetic Arts Ltd.", a Vancouver-based design and
fabrication studio. The studio produced animatronics, puppets, prosthetics
and special costume effects for many leading shows and commercials.
However, Adam now focuses on performance (puppetry/voice/acting), Voice
Producing, puppetry supervision, and producing. He has a broad range of
creative experience, as well as having years of experience as a creator,
business owner, team leader and innovator..
He won the 2007 Voicey Award for best Male Voice of the Year, and was
nominated for voice for a Dusty Award (Animation), Gemini award for Make-up
effects (1999), as well as having won both Applied Arts magazine's design
award (1999) and the Society of Industrial Editors (S.Africa -1992/3) award
for art direction in Industrial films. Beyond the large body of performance
work, Adam has writing, directing and/or producing experience in
international television production, documentary and industrial films, and
has art directed over 60 episodes of children's television, many music
videos and commercials. This is all in addition to a huge body of design
and effects work.
He often serves as a consultant and project supervisor for the voice or
puppetry component of film and tv productions, as well as performing in
them. This led to producing roles on film and television projects. He is a
busy international voiceover talent.
Adam is the founder of the puppeteers' committee of UBCP/Actra which
promotes puppetry in film - for the equal benefit of performers and
producers alike.
