prices, using regression analysis.
. Multiple Linear Regressions: Increased the accuracy of predicting the
NSEI index by considering more companies using regression analysis.
. Warehouse Distribution Logistics: Surveyed the current and future trends
related to the process and layout design for work-in-process and raw
material warehouses. Analyzed operations of two companies - Julius Blum
Inc. and Yuasa Batteries. Diagnosed the problems scope. For Yuasa
batteries it was observed that selective pallet racking used in lieu of a
drive-in racking system increased pallet position by 50%, provided better
stock rotation and reduced honeycombing losses. For Julius Blum addition
of three aisles to the existing AS/RS system added 5.500 new storage
locations and reduced warehouse operating capacity by 20%.
. Transportation Logistics: Surveyed the current and future trends in Truck
Load (TL) trucking. Inspected the transportation planning issues related
to TL trucking of two companies Mike's trucking and Frozen Food Express
Industries Inc.
. Project Management: Created an investment brochure for an Ambulatory
Surgery Center using the appropriate project management techniques and
extensive use of Microsoft Project.
. Time Study: Examined the working procedure of a Pizza Hut franchise.
Determined standard rate and capacity. Eliminated non-value added
elements like walking and searching. Reduced standard time by 13% and
increased capacity by 23%.
. Automation: Analyzed the working of a Pick and Place Robot. Successfully
executed a program to illustrate the basic working of the robot.
. Quality Control: Employed quality control techniques like Statistical
process control, Pareto analysis, Fishbone diagrams, root cause analysis
and PDCA cycle to examine quality issues related to a radio controlled
