Transamerica Distribution Finance has engaged Hexaware to provide ERP post implementation
support for its PeopleSoft Financials suite called ReXNet – Receivables Express Network.
Transamerica provides commercial credit services to corporations like Sears, CSK & Autozone
and either buys or manages their Accounts Receivables including Billing and Collections.
Hexaware provides 24 * 7 production support by managing their batch processing,
troubleshooting, problem management and user support through an offshore – onsite model
aiming at preventive maintenance and constantly adding value through proactive analysis and
performance management. Hexaware also provides programming support for fixes,
enhancements, customization reports and upgrades. An important feature of this service offering
is the ERP portal made for Transamerica for managing and accessing documentation for
knowledge management and an ERP Help desk for User support, training and tech support
through a web based call management system.

Client : EMI Capitol’s – Re-Hosting MPRS ON AS/400
Role: Team Leader Duration: July 1999 – Dec 1999
The project involved the migration of EMI Capitol’s Mainframe Publisher Royalty System (MPRS)
from IBM mainframe to IBM AS/400. The project included the migration of CICS COBOL
programs, Batch COBOL programs, JCLs / PROCs to CL programs, developing RPG programs
to replace the DYLAKOR programs which were used to generate reports, developing the screens
and programs to replace the KEYFAST utility which was used for data entry functions. The project
included the creation of AS/400 files based on the MPRS files, data migration and testing the jobs
based on the test scripts and test data provided by EMI.
The challenge in the project was the simulation / migration of mainframe’s GDG concepts in the
CL programs of AS/400. To mitigate the risk, a “proof-of-concept” phase was included in the
project to migrate a sample logically connected units. The migration strategies were refined
based on the migration of proof of concept software elements.

Client : Devro TeePack – YEAR 2000 Conversion
Role: Team Leader Duration: Aug 1998 – Jun 1999
The client DEVRO TEEPACK had in operation, a Finance and Manufacturing System provided by
Solution Providers - JD Edwards and Prism. The project scope included Y2K conversion of
source code (RPG/400, COBOL/400 and CL/400) from three different modules - JD Edward,
Prism and their Custom model, all using different date formats. It also included Query/400 queries
and SEQUEL/400 views.
An efficient Y2K tool (HEXA 2000) was used to carry out Inventory Analysis and Data Migration.
Copybooks (Date Conversion routines) were used during code correction to maintain uniformity of
the newly introduced code.

Involved in Impact Analysis and Code Correction of RPG/400, CL/400 programs and Query/400
queries. Also involved in the DDS Expansion of Physical and Logical files.
