Lead Programmer 2004 - 2010
Developed automated processes around customer requirements for personalized
mailings in a Direct Mail Marketing environment. Helped implement new job
procedures that were extremely effective in cutting job costs and staff
hours. Platform included SQL server database using Transact-SQL and VS
COBOL programming languages.
Designed, developed, maintained, and documented several large scale
automated daily processing applications for online fulfillment requests for
customers such as Strayer University, XM Satellite, and Colonial Penn
Insurance Corporation. These automated workflows significantly decreased
operator intervention and increased quality control.
Instrumental in developing the requirements for the conversion of the COBOL
based legacy application to a SQL Server based application. Worked
overtime to learn Reporting Services for reconciliation and audit reports.
Developed SQL stored procedures for various utilities, especially in the
automation of quality control procedures, which dramatically reduced
programming time, costs and errors.

Consultant to the Department of Labor, Office of the Chief Financial
Officer, supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the DOL financial
management system to help meet new federal regulations in an IBM MVS,
COBOL, and IDMS environment.
. Performed analysis, coding, testing, implementation, and testing of
major projects in adherence to the DOL's System Life Cycle
Methodology.
. Managed the efforts of the 6-member team. Coordinated implementation
efforts with the Data Warehouse, GUI front-end, CBT and LAN project

internet applications primarily used the SQL server database or DB2
mainframe backend.
