Health IT Consultant, led a strategic partnership between leading EMR and
PMS providers in the development of an integrated health IT service
offering with focus on accelerating their revenue trajectory. Developed
and led the creation of a nonprofit initiative reducing the cost of EMR
adoption through a shared, community-based information technology services
system for 150 physician practices comprised of over 500 MDs. Provided
advisory services to a Physician Organization Board on the integration of
HIT strategy in the context of their clinical integration initiative
including hardware, software and services. Developed the strategic outline
for the N.J. Health Collaborative for the CMS-funded Quality Improvement
Organization rolling out EMR for physicians statewide. During this same
project, assimilated subject matter experts on behalf of the State of New
Jersey Assembly to explore implementation of biometric security and
symmetric data aggregation for the state's health care system.
As Interim President, for Health Communication Systems responsible for
managing company operations after being acquired, including development of
marketing strategy with extended product suite; conducted full Health IT
market analysis including organic growth and prospective M&A targets; led
the $12 million acquisition of an EMR business unit including business and
technical due diligence; and led the product strategy specifications
development and oversight responsibilities for product development
resources and associated product life cycle including an EMR, PHR portal
and Information Exchange. Also established partnerships with HP and its
reseller network, and Microsoft to position company in the provision of
turnkey offerings. Led the prerequisite process for company to become 2008
CCHIT certified.
