activities for the UPS IT enterprise.
o Defined the process and created QA Competency and Testing
Practice Maturity assessments to determine a portfolio's "As Is"
testing state to provide the ability to measure progress toward
the optimal testing state. The optimal testing state included
defining the organizational structure, appropriate use of test
tools, testing best practices (risk based), integration with
Agile development methods, test environment setup, roles &
responsibilities, training and certification program, automation
guidelines and testing effectiveness metrics, which contribute
to lowering the cost to serve, increasing quality and
productivity, improving speed to market and eliminating non-
value added IT activities.
o Leveraged extensive testing experience and knowledge to define
the UPS enterprise-wide testing standards, processes and
artifacts that provided a consistent and repeatable process for
all testing teams to follow.
o Defined the use and standards for enterprise-wide test tools (HP
Quality Center, QuickTest Pro and LoadRunner).
. Managed a staff of 64 (eight supervisors and 56 consultants) business
analysts and quality assurance testers.
o Created a quality assurance test lab for Product and
Implementation Validation testing of more than 30 applications
that run the world's largest automated package sorting hub to
ensure they function together seamlessly per the business needs.
o Defined the business and functional requirements for the
domestic and international scanning systems to support the
business needs of the automated hub.
o Successfully managed and implemented four or more application
releases per year involving thousands of business and functional
requirements and up to 3000 test cases in a single release.
. Managed a staff of 14 (six supervisors and eight consultants) quality
assurance testers.
o Planned, developed and executed a Product and Implementation
Validation test plan to implement the Netline (Lufthansa

System (GSS) that replaced obsolete scanning systems to provide
smart scanning and full visibility package tracking in the
Worldport hub. Packages loaded to the wrong destination have
been reduced by 88%.
o Defined, system tested and implemented the Global Timecard
Weekly Operation Report (GTWOR) that replaced the manual
tracking of timecards in the automated hub. Payroll corrections
and management time necessary to track work hours were
significantly reduced.
o Defined, system tested and implemented the changes necessary to
multiple applications to enable the capability to sort and scan
USPS parcels through the automated hub.
