Sr. ACBS Application Developer
Mr. Aspman has over fourteen years’ experience with ACBS upgrades,
enhancement, legacy system conversion, interface development, and problem
resolution. He is skilled in requirements-based testing and QA methodologies,
and routinely develops and executes test scripts for both unit and integration
testing, and works closely with business analysts to identify and manage defect
resolution for new code validation.
Mr. Aspman has completed training from FIS in LANSA, ACBS system
administration, and the ACBS conversion utility. He is experienced in multi-
currency configuration and development and has worked on all versions of ACBS
from 3.6 to 5.3.2, including DLS-S and DLS-E. His technical background
includes LANSA and CL application development, and iSeries system
administration. He has received advanced project management training from a
‘big-four’ consulting firm.
For the last two years he has worked on a telecommuting basis for one of the
nation’s largest banks. Projects included creating an escrow enhancement for
ACBS and Basel II report extract fixes and enhancements.
Prior to that, his ACBS development experience includes:
• Two years as an ACBS developer for the nation’s largest non-bank lender.
Representative projects included automating the creation of transaction
bundles for incoming payments; completion of a shadow sub-ledger for
conduit activities; and backend processing for a web-based booking
system.
• Nine months as an ACBS developer for one of the nation’s largest
investment banking firms, primarily tasked with completion of an ACBS to
Oracle GL re-definition and upgrade.
• Three years working as a consulting application developer for a NYC-
based international bank. Primary tasks included conversion of legacy
systems to ACBS, as well as new product development and
implementation including system configuration, GL definition, GL matrix
building, program modification (both on-line through function routing
tables and through custom request object exit programs), user testing,
and downstream interfaces.
• Two years as project manager and lead developer for an ACBS re-
implementation at a New England commercial bank
• Two years as a project analyst and conversion manager for an ACBS
implementation at a captive finance company.
His business experience includes over 20 years of diversified banking experience
in commercial, international and consumer banking, problem loan resolution, and
credit administration. He has held management positions at four major regional
banking companies.
Mr. Aspman holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor
of Arts degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Washington.
