Professional Experience:
Rocheux International - Nanya Plastics Distributor December 2008 to
present
Sales Manager
220 Centennial Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854
Rocheux's major product is vinyl/PVC film. I was hired to establish sales
of Polyester Film, of which Rocheux had a very limited market share. I
increased customer base significantly through the eastern half of the
United States, with emphasis on the Northeast. At this time sales were
projecting to several million dollars. During the last quarter of 2009,
due to the heavy demand for Polyester Film in the Far East, Nanya's focus
shifted from the U.S. market to more lucrative business in Asia. Lead times
increased to sixteen-plus weeks and pricing went up over twenty percent.
As a result, our initial successes and sales were significantly impacted.
Independent Manufacturers Representative March 2008 to
December 2008
Self-Employed
Sold a variety of plastic films and specialty papers to a broad range of
industries, including but not limited to laminators, coaters, metalizers,
printers, packaging and tape manufacturers. Represented companies such as
Impex International, Triangle Plastics, Cates Sales, and Dielectric
Polymers.
Filmquest Group (formerly Film Products Corp.) March 1991 to
March 2008
Sales Manager
320 Remington Blvd., Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Hired by Film Products Corp. President Jim Wilkins in March of 1991 to
establish Eastern sales territory. Sales included clear, metalized and top-
coated Polyester Film to a broad range of industries,
including but not limited to laminators, coaters, metalizers, printers,
packaging and tape manufacturers. At this time Film Products Corp. had zero
sales in the Northeast. After establishing territory, sales increased
annually to over $4 million. I worked independently out of a satellite
sales office in Massachusetts. Over this period of time other plastic film
products were added, including BOPP, Nylon, and Polyimide films. I
developed long-lasting relationships with customers, working comfortably
with company presidents, research and development, manufacturing, and
purchasing departments. Other responsibilities included finding new
suppliers, both domestic and international, and establishing relationships
with their respective sales agents. Exhibited at industry trade shows such
as PACK-EXPO, CMM, Pressure-Sensitive Tape Conference and AIMCAL.
In March of 2007 Film Products Corp. was acquired by Filmquest Group. At
that time I
was made National Accounts Manager with responsibility for key accounts
nationwide, as well as the continued growth of sales in the Eastern Region.
I answer directly to vice president of sales/partner of new firm.
