Utilizing Visual Mfg., duties consist mainly of analysis, purchasing and

expediting purchased materials, using MRP and standard inventory control

principles. Process all material quotes to vendors and source out best

pricing and delivery for purchased materials. Establish blanket purchase

orders with vendors for long lead-time items. Maintain current pricing

against all purchase parts in Part Maintenance module, adjust inventory

levels as required, and process all data to reflect receipts of completed

work orders and purchase orders into inventory. Enter labor against work

orders as submitted by shop personnel for costing purposes. Purchased all

non-inventory commodities for entire facility.

Production Control Planning Supervisor 6/96 - 8/00

Harco Laboratories, Inc. Branford, CT.

A Manufacturer of Sensors, Thermocouples and Cable Assemblies

Charged with the duty of learning the newly purchased Manufacturing

Software (Visual) being implemented as Harco Laboratories upgraded from a

manual system. Assigned overseeing responsibility and project management as

related to the Purchasing, Inventory Management and Shop Floor Control

Modules. Was assigned membership to the implementation team and was

responsible to convey Purchasing and Production Control needs as well as

Shop Floor Control function needs as they related to each module being

installed and implemented. This included; all inventory transactions, shop

floor dispatch reports, work orders for WIP, and Item Master Data Base

integrity regarding Purchasing suppliers and Production Control related

fields. Also established new departmental procedures now required due to

the new software and created work instructions to satisfy ISO requirements.

Training of interdepartmental personnel using these new procedures was

ongoing.

Concurrently was responsible for one product line and all associated

planning functions for that line, including but not limited to; review of

customer MRP, creating necessary repair work orders for customer returns

and/or repairs, issuing work orders to WIP to meet monthly revenue

schedule. Advised the Material Review Board of production requirements on

discrepant materials to ensure timely dispositions. Interfaced heavily

with; Shop Floor Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineering, Design

Engineering, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing (directed clerk to

place required purchase orders and expedite open P.O.s as needed), to

execute monthly production schedule. Staff included; one clerk, one

expediter and one Junior Planner (providing continuous training to develop

from expediter to planner).

accordingly, as their requirements changed. Scheduled and released work

for on time delivery. Adjusted existing computer data to reflect internal

and external changes to scheduled deliveries. Reviewed Quality Assurance

dispositions of rejected material (customer returns and/or internal

production schedule. Trained new personnel brought into department to be

Quality Control. Interfaced with shop foremen, engineering, as well as

purchasing.

AMF Zetapor-A Manufacturer of Fine Filtration Products

Complete responsibility for the input of sale forecasts and correlated MRP

maintenance. Worked primarily with Purchasing Manager and Manufacturing

Manager. Generated and released shop orders, directed shop floor expediter

for timely processing of manufactured items.
