I was the Documentation Lead for the company's IT Division that deals with

all the Business Intelligence products, Shop Floor Management products,

Inventory Control products and other internal IT applications. Main

responsibilities included:

Analyzing internal client's documentation/training needs based on the

audience

Gathering requirements from the client through various release team

meetings and/or collaboration with the team

Presenting the best documentation solution, documentation plan, time

estimates.

Managing resources and project priorities/deadlines effectively to

accomplish team goals

. Setting up off-shore documentation teams in India and Malaysia and

managing them remotely.

Developing Online help, managing intranet content, writing technical

documents such as reference guides, configuration guides, etc., writing

FlexFlow - Shop Floor Management Tool

FlexFlow is a comprehensive shop-floor control and data-collection system

that helps to improve production efficiency and product quality. FlexFlow

was developed in-house and is the standard shop floor application for

Flextronics.

As the documentation lead, my role was to create a suite of documents for

this product such as, Reference Guides, Configuration Guides, Product

Presentation, Product Data Sheet, Product Intranet website,

Hardware/software Requirements, Capability Matrix, etc.

Buyer Dashboard - B2B Metrics Management Tool

The Buyer Dashboard centralizes procurement requirements that allow buyers

worldwide to view the exact same metrics. It provides the buyers with

meaningful information to help them make the right decisions and allows

them to perform purchasing related analysis at site level. It also provides

buyers with inventory pricing information that is the standard minimal

agreed upon cost allowing them to negotiate better prices with other

businesses.

My role was to develop and publish an Online Flash Help for the product and

help to produce video tutorials for the product using Macromedia Captivate.

As the documentation lead, I was part of the core release team and my

responsibilities include presenting a documentation plan, providing project

status reports and managing resources efficiently.

Shortage Escalation - Inventory Management Tool

The Shortage Escalation system allows a Buyer to gather shortage related

data quickly for an item or a component that has a shortage. The system

creates a consistent escalation path for identifying materials shortages

throughout the Flex organization and between sites.

My role was to develop and publish an Online Flash Help for the product and

help to produce video tutorials using instructional design with a product

called Macromedia Captivate. As the documentation lead, I was part of the

core release team and my responsibilities include presenting a

documentation plan, providing project status reports and managing resources

efficiently.

Solutions Web - Intranet Website

The Solutions website is a one-stop-shop for information about all the

different products developed by IT. The website aims to provide high-level

information about each product and includes links to documentation, support

and implementation information.

I was the project manager for this initiative. Responsibilities included

planning the content layout/story boarding, instructional design, and

working with development to create, update and maintain the complete

website.

2004 - May 2004

Was part of the client's Customer Sales & Service team that develops custom

applications and products to improve efficiency and increase customer base.

of the database. The course was divided into modules and lessons and at

the end of the course; the learners were expected to take a skill

assessment to evaluate their understanding of the application.
