Project Manager of Sprint World Headquarters for Danka Services International, Overland Park, Kansas
Responsible for developing and managing project, staffing requirements and equipment platforms
Led project team and consultants to develop the Sprint World Headquarters Campus production facility layout using Systematic Layout
Planning (SLP), a rigorous, systematic methodology developed by Richard Muther & Associates, consultants in industrial management
and engineering
Created strategic plans to support enhanced Service Level Agreements. This required establishing policy, providing overall direction,
assigning and evaluating personnel, reviewing development project requests, assigning resources and coordinating activities in and among
departments.
Responsible for project plans using statistically defensible forecasting models to determine staffing requirements, equipment platforms
and processes at the newly constructed $970 million Sprint World Headquarters Campus
Codified charter processes including Project Deliverables, Resources, Goals and Objectives, Operational and Organizational constraints,
Project Variance, and Scope Change Analysis.
Created position papers for Danka and Sprint defining Concept of Operations. Successfully recommended solutions to Sprint upper
management
Created project plan and project schedule for network infrastructure upgrade at The University of Kansas for 280 student apartments in 25
buildings, providing 5 mega-Hz VDSL / Long Reach Ethernet data services over existing cable plant. Managed same, on-time, at spec,
under budget.
Inventoried network infrastructure on University structures for the Vice Chancellor of Information Services in order to further the mission
of the university. Established technical standards, database functionality for use by NTS Engineers, Vice Chancellor, and the
Telecommunications Physical Infrastructure Committee.
