April 2008 - Present
Assist in conducting marketing campaigns, by overseeing the development,
design, editing and distribution of informative promotional material.
Draft contest flyers, letters press releases, newsletters, factsheets
and radio public service announcements. Organize and attend rideshare
events to distribute information and promote public transportation.
Designed the 2008 and 2010 annual pins. Acted as liaison, during the
Chatsworth Incident, Holiday Toy Express, Christmas Family Charity.
Utilize the SalesForce Database program for database fulfillment and
promotional ticket distribution and mailing.
Received an award for designing the 2008 Most Popular Annual Metrolink
Pin.
Project Team Member, Urban Land Institute (ULI), OC/IE Chapter
June - Sep 2009
Participated in the preparing presentation materials for the Edge
Development Workshop, conducted by the Urban Land Institute, Orange
County/Inland Empire Chapters. The workshop consisted of four teams
competing on ideas for developing infill edge developments and Greenfield
edge developments. Each team consisted of multidisciplinary
professionals. Team members collaborated on developing a series of
concepts and strategies along with a graphic representation of how a
sustainable edge development could look for a pre-selected site. Workshop
lasted three months, culminating with presentations by each team of their
visions at a forum in September, 2009, where ULI Orange County/Inland
Empire members, business and civic leaders and key stakeholders were
invited. The results of this Workshop are to be shared with ULI at the
international level to develop new publications and resources.
GIS Mapping Consultation, La Sierra Del Rio Development, Riverside, CA
June - Sep 2009
Developed a GIS map of the Western City of Riverside area, mapping zones
where development was allowed. The map was used by developer for
presentation to City of Riverside. Proposed development includes large-
scale estate homes, as well as, space for a Green Technology Campus in
the City of Riverside to house environmental studies, vocational training
and green technology businesses in a collaborative setting. This
development will be showcased in Riverside's first round-up demonstration
of its Smart Growth and GoGreen policies.
Senior Recreation Leader, City of Corona Parks & Recreation
June 2006 - April 2008
Utilized Boy Scouts leadership skills to supervise children ages 5-12 in
various leisure and recreational activities as part of the City of Corona
after-school program. Responsibilities included training new staff and
volunteers. Participated in planning weekly activities and events,
handling cash for snacks, recording daily incidents and filling out
forms.
