Position: Work Team

Duty: Abbott Laboratories does not implement and

idle system for their productions room and would

greatly benefit in this mode when production is

down. This will help maintained some

characteristics of the clean room. For example

temperature, flow and humidity will be maintained

in the room when there is no manufacture going down

and the room will be more readily available for the

next production pass. Such mode will improve their

productions times between batches.

To accomplish such task we use Microsoft Project to

create a timeline of the expected activities was

established taking into consideration work process

of the pharmaceutical company Abbott Laboratories.

A brainstorming session is developed to generate

preliminary ideas for an alternative selection

through a rating weighting. Alternatives were

thought over optimization steps found in research

books. A single alternative was chosen for device

recognition for which it was model detailed,

analyzed, and optimized. After the completion of

the final design.

the recipe obtain was implemented on the HVAC

controls to compare the utility cost. The

development of the cost analysis will demonstrate

the savings in utility that the pharmaceutical will

benefit over the idle mode design.
