Accomplishments:

Field Replacement Unit (FRU) Transmittal Automation

. Acted as a liaison between internal project sponsor, key

stakeholders, vendors, and IBM team members (both technical and

business) for the FRU Transmittal flow processes which assist with

field reutilization units available for existing and new products

at shipment support.

. Created project plan to determine time frame, procedures for

accomplishing project, and budget. Lead in defining the FRU

Transmittal Automation program objectives based on the feedback

from non-technical end users, identifying critical path of the

project, and communicating priorities to the Product Manager,

eXplore, DataMart, and BDW (Business Data Warehouse) Technical

Database teams.

. Assisted developers with a design and development of the GUI

reports extracting relevant data from nationwide and local IBM

database sources to meet internal and external user needs.

. Managed day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Co-

ordinated and ensured technical teams understand their component(s)

of FRU Automation requirements, held responsible for overall Data

Management processes to be in sync.

. Supervised all ongoing automation activities; provided expertise

for retrieval of data information; facilitated project team

Title: Technical Data Management Project Lead

Accomplishments:

Launching and Managing IBM Europeon B2B (E-commerce) Sites

Led in deploying and managing public Internet dynamic pages and

new site releases for European markets. Co-ordinated pre-production

& production launch related website activities with DBA's, business

content members, developers, and testing teams.

Managed large and complex data feeds, conducted test and

verification procedures via shell scripting for tracking potential

data defects, produced reports and conducted briefings for

worldwide IBM launch groups. This involved : 1) technical

evaluation of existing and new database schema, 2) detailing

automatic processes needed to incorporate new data specifications;

3) making proposals for improvements, with justification, to

existing macros and data sets; and 4) providing technical

expectations that other teams were held accountable for processes

to be in-sync and meeting deliverable deadlines.

. Involved in training and providing documentation to Maintenance

groups on the revised applications during the Post-Launch phase.

. Received recognition by IBM management of successful launches

every quarter (see also Honors and Awards section on additional

recognitions by client).

Automation of Data Processes

Accomplishments:

Deployed a process that automatically updated family attributes

for any new series of a given IBM brand in its respective database

table which generated a revised brand-series specification chart on

the New Series Specs Web page.

Conducted detailed comparison and problem identification of data

files of an ADP program where contents of existing release datafeed

files were compared line-by-line with new release datafeed files.

Differences between these two sets were used for purposes of

verification and detection of any data discrepancies for

rectification.

Maintained a minor ADP application for server-to-server database

maintenance whereby files and directories were automatically

compressed and transferred on one server to another via FTP

incorporated in the program.

Inventory Data Management

Accomplishments:

. Managed an inventory tracking system for IBM public sites. The

system kept track of the availability of products on-site, their

sales/purchases, inventory of items etc.

Contributed in enabling the system to provide user-friendly Web

sites to customers letting them know if any particular product is

in stock or, if not, the next available date.

Environment: DB2 (SQL) and HTML Programming

Discounted Price DataFeed (ECIM) for Business-to-Business Customers

Accomplishments:

Led in deploying and managing a database system that kept track

of the discounted prices for IBM Affinity intranet customers.

Assisted developers in developing discounted price datafeed

programs that allowed the system to take existing prices for the

products on the Web and calculate a discounted price based on the

discount percentage decided for that particular private dealer

group. If the discount is not available for some products, it takes

the listed price as-is and posts it as the final price on the site.

Environment: DB2 (SQL Programming)

Shopfast Blockage of Business-to-Customer Products

Accomplishments:

Led in blocking certain products from being sold on the site as

decided by IBM.

Keeping track of a security application which entailed deletion

of brand-to-product relationships in related database tables,

making dynamic product page macros as null so that the general

public did not have access through their book marked URL to those

products, and un-published pertinent products for a set time frame

so that they cannot be seen or purchased from the related sites.
