SUMMARY
Nine years experience as an electrical design engineer, seven as a
synchronous AC machine and PMG designer and two in electrical distribution.
Eight years experience as a maintenance and industrial construction
electrician.
Primary responsibilities were New Product Development support for generator
sets, including the 12-17RES, Yanmar Marine, John Deere and GM gas
industrial product. This included cost reductions, product improvement, and
design development. Worked with Manufacturing, Marketing, Purchasing,
Quality Control, Field Services and other engineering disciplines in a
gated NPD process.
My specialty in PMG and Synchronous AC alternator design: UL insulation
systems, efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and improved cooling for
higher current densities/ ratings for alternators. I used Finite Element
Analysis computer to accelerate new product development.
