Attained role as Bluetooth technology subject matter expert. Lead the
circuit and system level design and integration of Bluetooth
technology/functionality into various end products. Implemented trade
analysis to effect best solutions to meet cost, timing and performance
requirements. Designed double DIN radio bezel integrated/embedded dipole
Bluetooth antenna utilizing antenna test range measurements and analytic
methods. Represented Visteon interests globally in the Bluetooth Special

for all audio system upper level assemblies deployed and interconnected in
various configurations/permutations to provide OEM audio system end-item
options. Circuit/Component level designs included worst case circuit
analyses and comprehensive system level influenced simulation methods
utilizing the SABER simulation tool suite. Collaborated regularly with
audio technical specialists to establish and verify optimal specifications
for interface circuit performance/design.
Lead system design and physical layer design for Ford/Visteon Audio Control
Protocol (ACP) network. Utilized worst case analysis, system level
influenced simulation methods and empirical (lab and in-vehicle)
test/measurement throughout the development effort. Provided technical
support for software/protocol development including message/baud frame
timing skew analysis.
Represented Visteon interests in the ITS Data Bus (IDB) Forum - Chair Task
Group 3 (Low Impedance Stereo Audio Bus). Provided technical and leadership
contributions toward the development and specification of IDB.
CELLULAR TELEPHONE SYSTEMS and COMPONENT DESIGN ENGINEER (1989 - 1992)
Successfully lead the product design and production readiness aspects of
the first OEM (Ford Motor) regular production, vehicle embedded, voice
recognition controllable, fully audio system integrated, hands-free
cellular telephone system (1991 Model Year introduction). Lead the
circuit/component level specification and design of the audio system
interface for audio and switching control signals. Collaborated regularly
with audio component engineers and cellular phone module supplier to ensure
optimal interface performance was achieved. Utilized empirical/jury methods
and Speech Transmission Index measurements to configure audio system
