Summary of Career

My professional experience ranges from being a computer technician for a

Mid-western high school to managing the day-to-day operations of a multi-

channel origination facility and everything in between.

When I started at MTV Networks it was exciting, fast-paced, and a great

place to begin my career in broadcast media. My first job at the facility

was to ingest D2 tapes into an LMS machine that would provide music

programming for MTV2. I jumped in and inserted those music clips for 12

hours realizing that I was beginning my dream job.

Every day was a challenge and a learning experience. Over the next few

months I took advantage of every opportunity granted to me by quickly

learning different control room responsibilities. Within 6 months I was the

technical director for live events in the MTV and VH1 control rooms. My

success did not go unnoticed as I was promoted to Supervisor of On-Air

Operations 16 months into my professional life.

I consider myself a go-getter who is never satisfied with the task given to

me. I seek out new challenges whether it's coming up with a new SOP, or

trying to troubleshoot equipment failures with engineers.

Between 1998 and 2000, I was in charge of a diverse crew of master control

operators, coordinating the on-air uplink of 40 plus network feeds that

were transmitted from the MTVN Network Operations Center. I was able to

provide the world with successful video transmission of live shows such as

MTV's Total Request Live, MTV Music Awards, MTV's Spring Break, and

Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. In late 2000, I sought a new challenge

when I was crossed-promoted to the Media Management department. In this

capacity I managed the staff of the library, quality control, ingest, and

feed rooms. I set a new standard for quality and production of work

completed. My crew was top notch in the facility. We were the blueprint of

what all crew's followed. I took pride in my job regardless of the

situation at hand, and my staff followed my lead. This attitude resulted in

positive yearly reviews and salary increases. Which made everyone happy.

Now at the present time, I am again in a management role at Showtime

Networks as Supervisor of Master Control Operations. I facilitated a team

of Master Control Operators in the development of Standard Operating

Procedures at Showtime's brand new Network Operations Center in Hauppauge,

NY. I have trained my staff on proper functions of control room equipment

and continuously update them on new techniques when industry standards

change. This seems to occur daily in the broadcast engineering world. With

my guidance my crew has provided the blueprint on quality of work that all

team members follow at the facility. And they have been rewarded for their

efforts.

I am seeking to go further in my career and obtain a Management or Director

of Operations position whether it to be in a new field of work, or the

career that I've been fortunate to be a part of for the past 13 years.

Television technology is in my blood. I excel in helping others find the

same energy that I get when the networks crash, but we find a way to make

TV happen. The world is our audience, and we need to perform.

MS Office applications, Photoshop, television production, operations

management, relationship management, customer service, new technology,

workflow analysis, live event facilitation, training and development,

performance analysis, system testing and troubleshooting.
