Job functions: Engineering, sales, design, and marketing. As a young
technical sales engineer, I learned the industry from the bottom up. First
starting as a laboratory technician working under both the Engineering and
Marketing Departments, proving my findings through statistical evaluation
from results of test performed. Later I moved on to my permanent position,
Field Engineer, as outside technical sale and customer servicing of electro-
mechanical devices and components to the energy, and telecommunications
industries. Examples of such products are: line splices, buss bars,
overhead and subterranean connectors, hangers, dead ends, live ends, line
taps, including hot stick installed. The specific energy division supplied
was the electrical distribution network better know as The Grid, including
transmission lines, connectors and dampers.
