in the Puget sound region. Four to five stories of wood construction over

one to four stories PT. Some involved designing shoring systems to retain

cuts of up to 50 feet in a slide prone area. (Self-employed)

Kent Regional Justice Facility, Kent, WA; a two story steel frame

structure with wood floors using a pile foundation and steel moment frames.

Finch Pruyne Addition, Glens Falls, NY; interior and exterior steel framing

addition to support new pulp and paper mill equipment in a 100 year old

Bank of Snohomish, Monroe Branch, Monroe, Wa.; one story wood frame with

custom roof trusses over a Spandeck first floor parking garage. (Self-

Sears Kitsap Mall Department Store, Silverdale, WA; 100,000 sq. ft. single

story steel braced frame building with steel stick framing. (Wright

Kibun Redmond Plant, Redmond, WA; single story commercial structure with

glulam stick framing, Berkley roof panels, and concrete tilt-up walls.

construction involving the design of the suspended walkway system, stage

sq. ft. addition using CMU/BMU walls, Spandeck second floor, and steel

joist/metal deck roof.

Salvation Army Men's Social Service Center, Seattle, WA; a four story

structure with CIP concrete below second floor level, and steel joist with

composite metal deck at third and fourth floors. Utilized steel pipe pile

and concrete grade beam foundation. (TRA)

Personal Residences too numerous to name individually. Mostly wood frame

construction with some concrete and steel framing on occasion as required.

PT and CIP storm water detention vaults for various civil projects; Puget

Sound Region. Numerous configurations and top slab loading requirements

seen, to include vactor truck and Ladder truck with outriggers. Some on

Other Representative Structural Design Projects Include:

The Skyline Tower, Bellevue, WA (1980) ; $30 million, 26 story high rise

structure using a concrete core with CIP, post-tensioned ductile concrete

corner columns and exterior steel moment frames. Designed the gravity load

system and steel transfer beams plate girders for the garage. This project

took a ten man structural engineering team over 9 months to design. (TRA)

Providence Hospital Expansion, Anchorage, AK; a multi-level, multi location

expansion/seismic update, requiring integration of concrete shear wall and

steel moment frame lateral elements. (ABKJ)

500 Bed Prison, Monroe, WA; a five building complex using tilt-up walls,

composite metal deck and structural steel. (TRA)

Terminal Facility Expansion, McCarren Field, Las Vegas, NV; CIP concrete

and structural steel framing. (TRA)

Valley Publishing Company, Kent, WA; heavy commercial complex using tilt-up

concrete walls and a steel joist/metal roof deck system. (Harvey Dodd)

Cliff House Condominiums, Des Moines, WA; a three story wood frame

structure on a one story CIP parking garage with a pile foundation.
