PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I have good knowledge of ERP/MRP system and worked with Syteline and SAP
MRP systems. I worked with all modules of Syteline MRP including GL, AP and
AR. I have created work centers, Scheduled jobs, Job order releases and
closings. As an MIS, I wrote daily, monthly and yearly reports for the
management.
I have supervisory experience in production control, assembly lines and
general stores functions for five years in Robohand Inc.
In Honeywell, I Completed a project called REACH within 18 months. The job
involved in collecting chemical properties of all preparations, substances
supplied by vendors and used by Honeywell and preparing a report of usages
of all chemicals with CAS numbers, EINECS etc. for each.
I study existing nature of operations in a company and suggest changes to
increase productivity and reduce cost. As an example, I persuaded the
management of Robohand (De Staco) to change over from push type to pull
type of manufacturing. I introduced KanBan system of manufacturing at the
finished product and component stages resulting in vastly improved
inventory turns.
I was a member of the ISO implementation team and was instrumental in
achieving ISO certification within sixteen months. I maintained all ISO
documentation. Developed vendor evaluation criteria for new and existing
suppliers and monitored vendor performance on a weekly basis.
As opposed to year end wall to wall inventory counting, I introduced weekly
cycle count in a company after categorizing all components in A B and C
items. This resulted in cost saving and more accurate inventory. I helped
introduce vendor managed inventory for consumable and hardware items.
I have substantial experience in working with China and India with
conference calls and online meetings. The work included scheduling,
monitoring status, and new product development.
I consider listening as the most important aspect in dealing with problems
or implementing projects. I am always on the lookout for improvements in
process and material movement and prefer to implement procedures in baby
steps. I can also take difficult decisions. Lastly I enjoy working.

Production and Inventory Control
. Introduced for the first time in the company a two-bin Kanban system,
which improved efficiency by 10% in a $3.5M inventory. The Kanban was
later enhanced by an electronic two-bin system.
. Developed a Labor Track program to ensure logical flow of operations,
multiple operations and automatic posting of jobs, resulting in
substantial improvement in visibility and cycle time.
. Classified all parts in A B and C categories, introduced weekly cycle
