Sr. Business Systems Analyst

UPS is the world's largest global transportation company, operating in more

than 200 countries and territories and employing 370,000 people worldwide.

They are the pioneers in developing their own application software.

The project involved building several MDI applications called ESTAT

(Enterprise Sales resource Territory Alignment Tool), ESP (Enterprise

Planning Tool) . ESTAT provides an integrated solution for planning,

maintaining and reporting of sales resource alignment for the three major

business units namely, the US, International and Supply Chain solutions.

ESP provided an integrated solution for planning, maintaining and reporting

of business (Target) planning and compensation of sales resources for the

three major business units. The project was deployed internationally in 43

countries. Sales Resources and Business Units are competing for the same

business. Having multiple sales forces results in inefficiency and creates

confusion in customers' minds about whether we can deliver integrated

solutions. Sales Plans were not integrated. Although they are focused on

individual Business Units, they include overlap with other Business Units.

Sales Territories were not integrated. Sales Initiatives are not

coordinated across Business Units and competition was attacking and winning

away the top-tier Middle segment customers.

Responsibilities:

. Captured and analyzed requirements through interaction with Users.

can check their application status, view existing mortgages and refinance

or home equity account. Several mortgage tools and calculators were also

developed.
