Projects Lockheed Martin Autopilot A Project
Project work was done on a team of four aerospace students and
three electrical engineering students that implemented the open
source autopilot system Paparazzi into RC sized aircraft.
Project included EMI troubleshooting as well as wiring and
hardware implementation into RC airframes. Aircraft were flown
in closed loop autopilot to waypoints.
Airfoil Fabrication and Test Project
Led a team of three aerospace students in designing, building,
and testing model wing sections made of different materials to
failure. Designed wings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, used
finite element analysis software ANSYS to predict best designs,
built the wings, and tested the wings to failure in tension and
torsion tests. Data was used to predict the breaking strength
of the main wing spar for different designs and different
materials.
