OPERATIONS ENGINEER

. Responsible for the conduct of operations, maintenance, and work

control of the US Navy's Large Scale Vehicle (LSV), a 1/4 scale

battery powered, autonomous submarine used for acoustic research.

. Coordinate and conduct training on all vehicle systems; mechanical,

propulsion, ventilation, and electrical systems, and personnel

safety procedures.

. Manage emergent daily technical issues with mechanics,

electricians, electronics technicians, program managers,

scientists, and outside equipment representatives.

DATA PROCESSING SYSTEMS ENGINEER

. Team leader, responsible for operations, maintenance, and

improvements to the LSV data acquisition, processing and data

storage systems.

. Designed and implemented an upgrade to the data processing and

storage systems which improved efficiency and reduced annual

operating expenses by 20 percent.

. Process, condition and analyze data from up to 512 channels of

vehicle acoustic and machinery vibration sensors.

. Isolate noise problems and recommend solutions.

ACOUSTIC ENGINEER

scale submarines for the conduct of acoustic evaluations and

signature characterization.

. Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of the acoustic and

machinery vibration data.

. Document results in formal reports and brief results to submarine

Commanding Officer's and program funding managers.

. Rode 48 submarines for these data measurement trials and on

occasion worked the land based acquisition system.
