Managed projects as a prime contractor and subcontractor
• Managed a concrete pavement patching job as a prime contractor in St. Bernard Parish. Successfully
lined up crews and subcontractors’ crews, while providing traffic control for all activities.
Responsibilities included planning work, ordering materials, and recording quantities for completed
items.
• Led several projects as a subcontractor. RCS’s work specialized in drainage structures, reinforced
concrete structures, and embankment.

Project Manager of Hurricane Gustav debris pick up
• Led Hurricane Gustav debris pick up effort for LADOTD in District 61 (a nine parish area that
includes East Baton Rouge Parish).
• Completed debris pick up in all nine parishes before December 2008. Over 2.5 million cubic yards of
vegetative debris was removed and disposed of during the project. Similar projects during Katrina took
excess of 2 years.
• Operated as the Point of Contact for District 61. Responsibility included receiving, and handling all
communications between the public, elected officials, and the Department of Transportation directed
towards the contractors. Successfully disposed of complaints from citizens and elected officials against
the contractors.
• Worked with and instituted strong lines of communication between the contractor and the consultant.
The contractor removed debris along state highways caused by Hurricane Gustav. The consultant was
responsible for documenting and inspecting the contractor’s work.
Engineer Intern on Several Road Construction Projects
• Generated change orders and monthly estimates.
• Verified contract items were constructed in compliance with the contract and specifications.
• Resolved conflicts, when possible, in the field to avoid potential delays of the project or down time to
the contractor.

Led Hurricane Katrina work effort that included the dewatering and the refueling of pump stations in New
Orleans.
Led project for travel trailer installation in Orleans and Jefferson Parish.

• Completed a bridge replacement contract in Tunica, La as a prime contractor. Replaced two wooden
bridges with precast reinforced concrete box culverts with headwalls.
• Completed a bridge replacement contract and a Drainage Improvement Project in Mandeville, La as a
prime contractor. Replaced a wooden bridge with cast in place reinforced concrete box culverts with
headwall.
