11/07 - 02/, Commissioning Engineer - DCS/I&C, Fluor Power,
Greenville, SC
TS Newmont Power Project:
Worked with both DCS and I&C on Commissioning a coal power, 242 MW B&W
drum boiler system with a Toshiba Turbine and a B&W Dry Scrubber. The
control system was an ABB DCS with Foundation Fieldbus with Rosemont
and Siemens instrumentation. The PLCs were Allen-Bradley. Provided
engineering, testing, startup and troubleshooting services.
Luiminant Oak Grove Power Project: 02/08 - Present
Provided engineering, commissioning, startup, training and
troubleshooting knowledge, experience and services to two 860 MW
Supercritical steam boilers, one a Alstom/CE and the other a B&W and
two GE turbines. Provided engineering, logic verification,
modification and checkout for a Foxboro Infusion 8.4 system with
20,000+ I/O that used Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet,
Ethernet/IP and Hart base 4-20 communication between Rosemont, Ohmart
Vega, K-tech and other transmitter manufacturers and with Allen-
Bradley PLCs. The turbine controls were GE MARK VI.
. Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure adequate
provisions have been made for commissioning and plant operation.

Provided total administrative control of multiple Foxboro I/A systems
using a variety of Foxboro, Rosemont, Siemens, Ohmart Vega and other
instrumentation. I was the contract management administrator with all
DCS and PLC vendors for all Wellman sites. Provided engineering,
design, programming, installation, checkout, troubleshooting and
maintenance of all processes across multiple DCS systems, PLCs and
Variable Speed Drive Systems for over 100,000 loops using both
hardwired and wireless technology. I also provide the same services
for a RTP 2500 Triple Redundant DCS system as well as multiple stand
alone PLC systems using Allen-Bradley, Square D, GE Fanuc, Toshiba,
Omron and Siemens PLCs. Provided engineering management for both
large and small scale project across multiple disciplines.
For the Bay St. Louis plant, I provided engineering and administrative
and emergency services for a Foxboro Version 5 Windows based DCS
system. I also provided engineering and control systems
consultation for the design, construction, and startup of the Bay St.
Louis operation. Co-managed the RTX historical database system which
included data for all DCS, PLC system and the testing labs. I
provided 24/7 off plant remote login for all Foxboro DCS systems and
some PLC systems.
