Hardware / Software Test Engineer

Developed and implemented the software architecture for a National

Instruments based automated test system. Created a comprehensive

test suite to ensure the quality of a complex embedded automotive

audio infotainment system slated for the Ferrari Scaglietti.

Designed and implemented hardware and software tests to ensure the

quality of a complex embedded automotive product. Designed,

implemented, and executed the tests against the product. Used C#,

C++, National Instruments .NET libraries. LabView, and Python

scripting language to create a test system for functional test,

monitoring test, and validation test. Managed a local vendor who

contributed to software development. Helped to manage an oversea

vendor who contributed to software development. Developed

comprehensive test procedure and test requirement documentation.

Xbox Motherboard Test Lead - Xbox 360: 10/03-05/05

Test Development:

Developed PCI express tests. Developed hardware and software for

voltage regulator testing. Developed thermal system tests.

Developed test automation libraries to control lab test equipment

C# to test voltage regulators, PCI express bus, thermal system.

Program Management:

Oversaw technical test development for the Xbox motherboard.

voltage regulator tests, USB tests. Managed outsourced

development of system level tests. Developed test reporting and

documentation structure for the Xbox test group. Managed test

Hardware Test Engineer - Xbox Group: 6/00-6/02

Developed design and qualification test plans for the Xbox

project. Worked with external vendors to create and execute test

plans for xbox motherboard and chipset. Created, executed, and

managed the execution of test plans and test procedures for Xbox

system and xbox subcomponents, including hard drive, DVD, power

supply, audio DAC, SMC (system microcontroller). Developed and

executed system level black box tests for the Xbox system.

Hardware Test Engineer - MOUSE Group: 6/99-6/00

Developed qualification test plans and procedures for Commando

project (OEM USB Mouse) and the Intellimouse Explorer project

(optical mouse). Test areas included mouse functional testing

(for ball and optical mouse), USB performance and qualification

testing, electro-magnetic compliance, reliability, and

manufacturing test. Identified project risk areas and developed

appropriate test procedures. Drove test plans to completion by

managing internal and external resources. Modified manufacturing

test equipment to work with new mouse products. Developed USB

test plan for low speed devices. Supported manufacturing in

Mexico and China. Developed mouse compatibility test procedure.
