Professional Experience:
Title: Research Assistant with Wireless System Research Lab, UH, Houston,
TX 08/08 - Current
(Key skills enhanced: Device driver programming, Embedded Software
Development, Wireless Protocols)
. Implemented USB CDC driver on top of the core USB driver and fully
utilized its capabilities in controlling the standard serial settings
(e.g. Baud Rate, Parity and Stop Bits) and flow control.
. Designed and implemented an Application Programming Interface (API) for a
Serial Communication Channel in C language and mapped RS-232 and USB
hardware into it. Also, added new functionalities into the existing
software.
. Developed "WiSeR Emulator: An Emulation Framework for Wireless Structural
Health Monitoring" to provide a platform for emulating sensing
environment, carrying out research on sensor coverage, fault detection,
wireless health monitoring and to test new wireless MAC and Time
Synchronization Protocols.
. Implemented data compression modules (LZ77 encoding, Wavelet
decomposition, Quantization) for memory constraint sensor devices running
TinyOS-2.x (Embedded OS) using embedded C.
. Ported "TREEMAC: Localized TDMA MAC Protocol for real time high data rate
sensor networks" for TMotes running TinyOS-2.x.
Title: Software Engineer with ITC INFOTECH INDIA LTD, India
07/06 - 07/07
(Key skills enhanced: Java, J2EE development, C/C++ programming)
. Part of a 12 member JAVA Application Development team. Developed and
tested JAVA and JBoss Rule modules used for Finn Air project supporting
business transactions between Finn Air and its allied airlines.
. Implemented automated email service for ITC Limited using JAVA
Mail API.
Title: Research Intern with Dept. of ECE, IIT Kharagpur, India
12/05 - 01/06
(Key skills enhanced: Simulation Framework, C programming)
. Project on "Design of Simulation framework for Phase Locked Loop (PLL)
using C language". Implemented a second order PLL simulation framework
using loop filter model.

(Key skills enhanced: Leadership, RTOS, Socket Programming, Wireless
Systems, Embedded Systems)
. Team Leader: Project on "Design and Implementation of ICE Network
Controller" for a range or wireless devices using heterogeneous MAC
Protocols (802.11, Bluetooth). The network controller discovers the
devices irrespective of their MAC protocol, assigns a logical ID,
registers their services and keeps track of the active devices without
manual intervention.
