Re: Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in response to the Executive Assistant position. I learned of

this opportunity on Indeed.com. I have my M.A. from Syracuse University,

and I have over five years of administrative experience that entailed

office management, project support and executive assistance. I am

confident that my previous work history will allow me to provide excellent

executive assistance to senior management.

For two years, I worked at Syracuse University Art Galleries (SUArt). I

assisted the Director and Assistant Director/Curator to research and

implement exhibitions, write grants and execute public programs. I worked

within multiple sectors of the gallery, all of which demanded strong

written and oral communication. I regularly communicated with visitors,

staff, professors, and administration.

My administrative positions at DePaul University and the American College

of Surgeons required office management skills, diplomacy, high levels of

organization and multi-tasking. I tracked department spending and

procurement card purchases while working in the DePaul University Honors

Program Office. In both organizations, I planned events and meetings that

ranged from seven to over two hundred people. These events entailed

arranging for the logistics at on-site and off-site locations for students,

academics, doctors, and industry executives. At the American College of

Surgeons, I provided executive assistance to the Director of the Division

of Education. This included managing his professional and personal

calendar, travel arrangements, correspondence, and a variety of other

duties. Further, I am proficient on Mac and PC, all Microsoft Office

programs, Filemaker, InDesign and Photoshop.

Please find my resume included with this letter. I am very excited to

learn more about this position and company. I would very much appreciate

the opportunity to discuss my qualifications. You may reach me at (773)

592-7213. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Maryanna G. Ramirez
