Production Supervisor

Responsible for 2nd shift production, overseeing machining, inspection,

shipping & receiving, and warehousing departments, hands-on supervision of

20 employees, with emphasis on safety and quality. Direct responsibility

for the waste treatment system that was discharged to the city.

2002-2003

Supervised multiple areas, including machining, assembly, quality and re-

build departments. Co-ordinated and oversaw dock loading for next day's

shipments. Supervised a total of 35 employees.

parts upon receipt through all processes on first day, eliminating

"down the road" problems. Process resulted in lowered failure rates

and was incorporated as permanent departmental procedure.

( Realigned department lines reducing multiple set-ups,

placement. Reconstructed workforce to build better teams resulting in

a departmental reduction from 29 workers operating at 70% daily

productivity to 16 workers operating at 110%.

Supervised 32 union employees in the areas of heat treat, inspection, CNC

lathes, grinders, deburring, and other machine operations. Managed

numerous departments on 2nd shift covering one-half of the shop.

utilizing forecasts and production schedules to plan smooth work flow.

. Doubled the number of departments supervised when transferred to 2nd
