Environment Software Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripts
Database: Oracle 8.0, Oracle eBS 11.5.9
Tools: Toad, Appworx, MS Excel
Hardware Sun Solaris
Project Description
GE Health Care implemented Oracle e-BS to facilitate their business needs
and smooth functionality of their business. Market Maker is a legacy System
which is used to maintain the GE Health care items MMICV (Market Maker
Inventory Carrying Value) and Transfer Prices. . The project is aimed at
eliminating the existing market maker system, and enables its functionality
to be available through the global instance of Oracle applications. The
item and cost details from and to each legal entity will be available in
the Market Maker. The BOM for each catalog item will be used to roll up the
cost for each item. The MMICV will be determined using the BOM rolled up
cost. The costing module of oracle apps is used to achieve this purpose.
Contribution as a Team Lead, I was responsible for
1. Collecting the requirements from the client and drafting it as a
project charter.
2. Initiated meetings for requirements collection.
3. Analysis of existing system.
4. Review of functional specifications.(MD60)
5. Preparation of technical specifications and review.(MD70)
6. Designed and Created Database objects Tables, Views, and Indexes as
per project requirements.
7. Coded with SQL and PL/SQL to develop Stored Procedures, Functions,
Packages, and Database Triggers to implement business rules.
8. Prepare Unit Test Cases, performed detailed testing

Client GE-Medical Systems, Waukesha WI
Role Team Lead
Duration 07/2002 - 01/2004
Team Size 5
Environment Software Languages: SQL, PL SQL, shell scripts
Database: Oracle 8.0
Tools: Toad, Appworx, MS Excel, Oracle Forms and
Reports.
Hardware Sun Solaris
Project Description
2 Projects (Auto Approval of MMICV, BOM Download from Oracle) were taken up
as enhancements to Market Maker Application.
Auto Approval of MMICV:
This automatic MMICV approval process will create a systematic approach to
approve the MMICV from items in the daily add process into Market Maker. In
the existing system all items submitted to Market Maker go through a manual
approval process before being accepted into Market Maker.
BOM Download from Oracle:
This was a major enhancement in GE Medical systems for Market Maker
Application.
The purpose of this project is to enable Market Maker to pull BOM structure
from Oracle Bill of materials. Since most legacy systems are already on
Oracle and others plan to move to Oracle Application - they do not maintain
BOM structure in legacy system GPCP.
This project helped to eliminate the usage of legacy data from GPCP and
replaced it with data from Oracle. This was a challenging project in which
a legacy system was replaced with an Oracle system. It was implemented in
accordance with the six sigma standards.
Contribution : As a Module Lead, I was responsible for
. Initiated meetings for requirements collection.
. Estimation of efforts and resources. Project plan preparation.
. Analysis of existing system. Design of proposed system. Detailed plan for
migration.
. Review of functional specifications
. Preparation of technical specifications and review.(Low level design

materialized views and assigning privileges to users.
. Coded with SQL and PL/SQL to develop Stored Procedures, Functions,
Packages, and Database Triggers to implement business rules
. Analyzed, Designed, Developed and tested complex Forms using Oracle
Forms.
. Involved in Report Lay out Design and development of Oracle Reports
. Worked extensively in various kinds of queries such as Sub-Queries,
Correlated Sub-Queries, Dynamic SQL

. Educating the client/functional users about the changes in the
application.

Project Description
MARKET MAKER as commonly called, is a global repository to store cost
information of all products and service parts offered by GE Medical
Systems. It is intended to be a single view of the global costs incurred by
GEMS on each product. This global metric is termed MARKET MAKER Inventory
Carrying Values (MMICV). The transfer price is computed for all items from
each source to destination.
The data in this repository is part of the GEMS Enterprise Data warehouse,
where the GEMS MARKET MAKER and Finance functions to carry out what-if
analysis to help them make critical business decisions will use it. All
Decision Support Systems (DSS) related reporting off the MARKET MAKER data
will be done from this Enterprise Data warehouse. Market Maker is a
