ASSET SPECIALISTS, INC. West Palm Beach, Florida
President, Real Estate and Business Development (2004 – 2010)
Responsible for all new business ventures and oversight of entire real estate development portfolio for
this medium sized commercial real estate group. Team leadership and individual business transactions
including, but not limited to: strategic office and property site acquisitions, end to end lease and office
use negotiation, comprehensive marketing for new and existing properties (print and internet media),
supervision and mentoring of in house sales team, building master design and development, navigation
of governmental approvals, construction contract oversight (negotiation and supervision), secured
financial negotiations, client and vendor tactical meetings, payment procurement, client service and

Represented national and regional, corporate and retail tenants in their expansion plans throughout the
West Coast. Was responsible for the strategic planning of site selection and acquisitions. Negotiated all

Sample Work and Achievements:
Rubio's Baja Grill: Organized and directed this company’s marketing and operational expansion into
the San Francisco Bay Area. Conducted extensive marketing analysis for best site location and created
“re invention” plan for the Mexican food restaurant chain. Strategically laid out a 36 month campaign to
position Rubio’s as the market leader within their niche. Evaluated demographic requirements, traffic
patterns, retail sales numbers, target shopping sites, malls, movie theaters and tourist attractions.
Successfully introduced Rubio’s to the Bay Area via the critical selection of properties, locations, and
target client populations. Prepared all RFP's, negotiated all leases, and created the commercial basis for
Rubio’s extensive success in Silicon Valley and SF Bay Area.
Santa Clara County (Silicon Valley), Dept. of Social Services: Strategically coalesced a fragmented
organization with multiple leases diffusely spread throughout the County into one centralized
headquarters facility of 210,000 square feet. Spearheaded efforts to define and differentiate the County’s
true operational space requirements. Positioned and managed site development to meet emergent, state
of the art, first in its class “green construction elements” just being defined at a national level. Prepared
all RFP, negotiated all lease terms, assisted with all office use and space planning, managed
comprehensive construction, tenant improvement, and client move in schedules.
Hyseq, Inc: Successfully managed entire comprehensive negotiations resulting in amicable lease
terminations on over 100,000 SF of unused space. Salvaged company from threatened bankruptcy via
extensive negotiation on releases from multiple leases with multiple landlords (AMB REIT the most high
profile). Termination of these leases represented a critical element in Hyseq’s strategic re organization
plan and resulted in its ability to survive and remain viable in the Silicon Valley.
RUE ELL ENTERPRISES, INC. PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT, Berkeley, California
Director of Sales, Marketing and Acquisitions (1996 – 1999)
Successfully managed the marketing of a diverse portfolio of buildings throughout the San Francisco Bay
area (approximately 80% retail centers and 20% professional office use). Oversaw all facets of the
marketing and property sales/leasing process: newspaper advertising, brochures, mailers to brokerage
community and tenants. Negotiated all lease transaction terms and lease agreements. Spearheaded
efforts with all property acquisitions from bank O.R.E.O. to leased shopping centers, single tenant
buildings and vacant buildings. Functioned as portfolio managing director determining the direction of
obsolete buildings within the portfolio and worked with the city governments, architects, contractors and
potential tenants to design, build and lease a building that was profitable for all parties.

distressed/value added properties to clients. Tracked all national and regional tenants for sale lease back
possibilities or build to suit. Led buying groups through a value added process, i.e. leasing, tenant
improvements and retrofitting to strengthen the value of their investment. Through diversification,
represented both buyers and sellers and performed multiple 1031 exchanges.
Closed $14,500,000 in 14 plus transactions in sales of single tenant, multi tenant retail and multi
