Engineering Management at Tecumseh Products Company:
- Designed and demonstrated horizontal scroll technology for commercial
refrigeration applications. New intellectual capital for niche
markets.
- Designed, developed and released scroll compressor product offering
for
commercial refrigeration and freezer applications. Includes fluid
injection technology to expand operational capability. Entering
limited production.
- Developed and demonstrated transcritical carbon-dioxide compressors
and their
systems for high-ambient cooling, water heating, beverage cooling,
and water heating applications. Resulted in intellectual capital for
niche markets. Prototypes of high-ambient cooling compressors
successfully tested by the US Army. These prototype systems were
well-received by the Tecumseh Products Company CEO and Board of
Directors, resulting in sustained funding for the Advanced
Engineering Dept.
- Designed, developed and demonstrated variable-speed scroll
compression
technology for increased system efficiency. Employs
brushless DC permanent
magnet motors for weight and cost reduction. Established
baseline for next
generation of environmentally-friendly refrigeration
equipment.
Project Engineering at Tecumseh Products Company:
- Designed, developed and released the 3- to 5- ton air conditioning
scroll
compressor line. Product launch provided initial market entry.
