preliminary conceptual design through full permitting for all aspects of civil design including but not limited to

zoning issues, grading, erosion control, storm drainage, detention and urban storm water management issues,

flood studies, sanitary water and sewer, street and road design.

Basic computer skills as well as specialized knowledge and ability to operate AutoCAD 2006 -2008,LDT;

specifically, able to use Civil 3D and LDT to create grading plans, roads, cross sections, profiles as well as using

basic AutoCAD commands for drawing, modification and manipulation of drawings.

Breakdown of Work Experience

6 years relevant experience in Public Sector including the design and management of projects related to C.I.P.

projects for clients such as cities, counties and highway departments, and dealing with roadway, highway,

drainage, water and waste water improvements.

8 years relevant experience in Private Sector including the design of projects for private land developers such as

residential subdivisions, multiple housing units (including apartments and town homes), commercial, religious,

industrial and educational facilities in addition to community planning.

Qualifications

Performance of civil engineering duties surrounding the infrastructure development by the private and public

works sectors, including the development of geometric design, transportation design, site engineering, site

grading, drainage, detention, sediment control, erosion control, sw3p,BMP, traffic control, right of way, roadways

and highways, and the collection, storage, pumping, conveyance, distribution and treatment of water, storm

water and waste water.

Hydrology and hydraulic modeling for drainage improvements and preparation of reports on the findings of

modeling efforts.

Preparation of bid documents, contract documents, construction quantities and engineer’s cost estimates.

Collection of technical data from company archives and / or resources available at city, county, DOT and other

consultants.

Construction administration, construction inspection and contract management of engineering projects following

design.

Written and oral communication with clients, reviewing agencies, contractors and sub consultants.

Processing of engineering documents for permits from federal, state, county and city agencies.

Performing assigned tasks within the schedule constraints of assigned project.

Helping design and cad teams to develop better technical solutions for the projects.

Preparation of engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and

equipment selection.

Preparation and interpretation of blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, technical construction specifications

and bid documents. Management of construction document printing process, project issues, budgets, and

schedules.

Provide analysis and management of risks relevant to engineering tasks.

Review and critique of proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.

Review of development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering

practices to ensure project and site safety when required or on-site.

Evaluation and problem solving in the areas of expertise.

Coordination of the activities of the design and construction teams, technical presentations to elected officials,

appointed boards/commissions, the public, and staff.
