Paxar / Avery Dennison - Sayre, PA
Developed customer based websites for Paxar's global label ordering system
from predefined purchase orders. Architecture included Eclipse, Java,
Python, Linux, Tom Cat, Postgres, MS SQL and Oracle.
Developed Marks And Spencer item level RFID ordering website. Project
saves $1B / year in inventory costs. This system produced over 50M labels
per year with near 100% data accuracy.
Worked with Sales to develop an Oracle web application for Nike art work
and language approval process.
Created web based ordering systems for Hampshire Brands, Ann Taylor, Eddie
Bauer and other customers. The websites are based on Java, Tom Cat, Python
and Postgres on a Linux platform. These websites are accessed globally on
a 24/7 basis.

Oracle, Java, SOAP and XML in an internationalized J2EE web hosting

Created a retail storefront website for Amish made furniture. Worked with
ASP company to develop a store front using Red Hat's Interchange shopping
cart in a MYSQL, Perl and Linux environment. Integrated Thawte SSL, and
Authorize.net's payment system into the website.
Developed pricing structures based on furniture options, shipping,
packaging, and weight.
Worked with graphic artist to brand the site with color theme, graphics and
logo.

Installed and rolled out Lotus Notes email and applications to AWI's 400
employees and stores. Managed IIS and developed custom security system

Installed SSL / Verisign security on MS IIS for server certificate
authentication.
SCO Unix administrator for the Retail Management System (RMS). Wrote Perl
FTP scripts for file transfers between Unix and Windows NT. Installed
Oracle client and Perl / DBD on SCO Unix.

Project lead on "Eliminate MHS / Novell from the stores" project. Setup FTP
accounts on FTP server for 130 stores to replace MHS email file transfers

Developed systems on multiple simulation projects in UNIX and Windows
environments.
Designed data model, tables and forms using MS Access and Visual Basic for
Training Management System. The system tracks Air Force student and
instructor performance throughout training.
Developed and maintained Software Engineering Management System (SEMS).
Created a 'C' / X Window interface for this Unix based software control
system. SEMS platforms include Sun, Silicon Graphics and DEC Alpha.
F15 simulator project under SEMS. Responsibilities included population of
SEMS database for tasks, symbol dictionary and software. Processed and
built simulator load on site using SEMS.
Designed enhancements for Fortran Scan (FSCAN) product in 'C' and supported
existing versions.
