Background includes knowledge and hands-on experience in thick and thin

silicon. Invented reformulated rice hulls with ionic liquids for paper-thin

battery. Manages offshore manufacturing group and heads PV systems

engineering.

Manufacturing Manager - Biometrics product development and transfer to

offshore production. Fingerprint device used for secure entry in computers

and financial transactions. Developed manufacture and test of hardware,

working closely with engineering group for transfer of designs to contract

manufacturer. Traveled extensively to identify and select appropriate

microelectronics contractor.

Chief Engineer - Directed interdisciplinary technical group in the

development of automation and processes for integrated solar cell

Spectrolab/Hughes Aircraft Co. - Sylmar, California 2/67-

Staff engineer - Worked in all areas of solar cell/solar panel development

and manufacturing. Was responsible for electroforming of metal optics used

in solar simulation, and invented manufacturing process for molybdenum-

silver solar cell array interconnections. Performed research into lithium-

diffused solar cells and advanced solar cell processes. Developed advanced

lightweight solar array materials and worked on such notables as Skylab,

the first U.S. space laboratory. Also worked at the Technology Support

Division for solar array assembly and related activities. Provided

technical support for large-area hybrid microelectronics and PCBs in such

areas as microjoining, soldering methods, adhesives, sealing, leak testing

and chemical analysis.
