Solidworks: Strong skills using a computer-aided drafting (CAD)
application package to create engineering drawings such as line
quality, use of instruments, free-hand sketching, orthographic
projections, pictorials, sections, auxiliary views and
dimensioning. In the classroom, we redesigned a professional
diagnostic kit that is manufactured by Welch Allyn. The kit was
reconfigured so that each piece of equipment is stored in a molded
tablet for easier storage and retrieval. The kit also includes a
newly designed recharging battery for the USB medical scanner and a
temperature examination for the skin. This enhanced kit is
innovative, improves value and provides a new market for Welch
Allyn.
CAPE pack v2.07: Strong skills in CAPE pack v2.07 with a keen
understanding of efficiencies in total cost per unit load,
warehouse, shipping, manufacturing of boxes, and production.
ArtiosCAD: Knowledge of computer techniques such as test
simulation, optimum sizing of package systems, and process control,
thus enabling myself to create new products for all corrugated,
folding cartons and POP displays. For a class project, I designed
a carton for a bottled product, POP display for cartons with
bottled products, and a case with POP display and cartons for
shipping. Adobe Illustrator was utilized in illustrating the
images, fonts and logos of all three packages. I achieved the
highest average rank and received an award for this project.
Wal-Mart Scorecard: Knowledge of Wal-Mart Scorecard to analyze and
improve the SCORE of a current product. I measured how companies'
packaging helps the retailer achieve its goals to be supplied 100%
by renewable energy, create zero waste and sell sustainable
products.
Leadershi Shadowing experience with Sales Representative at Hyatt Regency in
p Rochester, NY.
Activitie Paricipated in student design challenge for the Paperboard
s: Packaging Alliance (PPA), which consisted of designing and creating
graphic designs and paperboard packaging for a new DVD product with
three CD's.
Selected as the Brickfest Sport Party Chairperson. Brickfest is an
annual sporting and academic event held between RIT and another
college and is attended by approximately 800 participants.
Chairperson duties included moderating meetings, maintaining
progress with the stated agenda, and creating of a new theme and
bringing to fruition.
