Accomplishments at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications
I have been the project manager for several mobile phone projects within Sony
Ericsson. Most of my projects have been limited to the software. For the last year, my
roll has expanded to include all project disciplines; Software, Hardware, Mechanical, and
Production. This role has been extremely challenging, but very exciting. I am currently
the main project manager for a “smart” phone, not yet announced. Successfully
launched the C905a Cyber shot camera mobile phone, and the project manager for the
W518a Walkman mobile phone, launch through AT&T.
Accomplishments at McDATA (now Brocade). I worked as a Java developer for
the first four years, on enterprise software to manage data center Storage Area
Networks (SANs). I was promoted from senior engineer to senior project
manager. Over the next four years, I was responsible for several software
projects. My last project was leading a team of just over 100 developers, tester,
and technical writers, to deliver “San Navigator” software suite. The teams were
geographically dispersed in Colorado, California, and India. I gained experience in Fibre
Channel and IBM FICON storage area networks.
Accomplishments at StorageTek (Now Sun Micro Systems).
Electronic Engineer designing high speed digital circuits. Responsible for board level
circuit schematics, simulations, and bring up. I have experience with micro processors
and programmable devices. Expert high speed circuit board layout. I learned to be a
very proficient trouble shooter.
