Apr 2009 - Present

Datascope Corp. manufactures proprietary products for clinical health care

markets in cardiovascular and vascular surgery. We have two reportable

segments, Intra-Aortic Balloons (IAB) and IAB Pumps used in counter

pulsation therapy. Now, Datascope manufactured the cardiopulmonary tubing

sets used in blood circulation during open heart surgery.

Role: Engineer I

Responsibilities:

. Prepare and execute IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for sterilization and shelf

life validations of Intra-Aortic Balloons and Maquet Cardiopulmonary

products. Establish operating data, conduct experimental tests,

evaluate the results and present reports.

. Update and maintaining the specifications of the parts and fixtures

using CADKEY.

. Create and maintain different GMP/GLP controlled procedures for

equipment maintenance & service, production, quality, incoming product

inspection, test & inspection, packaging etc.

. Perform quality assurance tests (Failure Analysis and Detection,

Abrasion testing of the fluids).

. Verify all the processes are in compliance with the standards such as

FDA, ISO, ISTA and etc.

. Analyze FMEAs, (DFMEAs and PFMEAs) whenever any critical change is

done.

. Analyze the defects or non-conformities and create Non-Conformity

reports (NCRs) or CAPAs as required.

. Validation activities included Preparing Validation Protocols, Summary

Report Preparations, Sampling methodologies, Updating Specifications,

Bill of materials and Incoming Inspection procedures.

. Qualification of Processes and Vendor qualification using DOEs

assisted with Statistical Tools like Minitab.

consulting, and business process outsourcing services headquartered in

Teaneck, NJ.

Project 1: NCC/B2B (Media and Entertainment Domain)

Client: New York Times

Role: Programmer Analyst

NCC/B2B was developed on Java which contains two modules, news print

circulation and business to business. This application helps online

management of news print circulation at the all the printing sites and to

maintain the contracts and invoices for 3rd parties and wholesalers in a

business to business scenario (user end circulation)

Responsibilities:

. Analyze the business requirements, prepare and modify the test cases,

perform Functional, System, Regression, Integration and Sanity

testing.

. Database and shell scripts validation which contains the migration

data from CIS system.

. Developed a Proof of Concept (POC) and its timeline to write the test

script (Visual Basic) in QTP which is a automated testing tool.

. Certified as the 'Cognizant Certified Professional'

. Honored with 'The Crunch' award for my services. In August 2007

promoted to Programmer Analyst.

Project 2: Vignette Retirement (Healthcare Domain)

Client: Express Scripts Inc

Role: Programmer Analyst

Express Scripts had a develop web portal system running on Vignette

technology, which was upgraded to the latest technology in Web portal from

IBM "Web portals and content management"

Responsibilities:

. Analyze the business requirements, prepare and modify the test cases,

perform Functional, System, Regression, Integration and Sanity

testing.

. Migration validation of critical modules like AMO banking database and

Healthcare database.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Title: Design, Fabrication and Testing of "Pulse Compressing Unit"

Project was implemented under the guidance of Dr. Srinivas, Scientist,

Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore. CFTRI is an

organization that pursues in-depth research and development in food science

and technology.

. Designed, fabricated and tested a crank lever mechanism for the

application of load on a cooked grain. For this load to be gradual, a

damper was used.

. Prototype building and proof of concept.

. Using SolidWorks modeled all the parts, and verify the kinetic

routines, which test the operation of mechanical linkages using the

animation capability of SolidWorks.

. Wrote a MATLAB program to determine the number of pixels inside the

grain and was calibrated to print the area of the grain.

CAD/CAM/CAE Projects under Dr.Herli Surjanhata, NJIT, NJ.

. Modeling PRO/Engineer Wildfire 4.0: A total of 75 parts of cart in

total were modeled and assembled to verify the dimensional tolerances

and interference routines.

. Machining using PRO/Engineer Wildfire 4.0: Simulate the Milling,

Turning, Drilling and Expert Machining on the different parts and

study the results.

. Analysis in PRO/Mechanica: Perform Structural (Static, Buckling,

Fatigue and Thermal Stresses) and Thermal analysis (Steady State and

Transient) on various parts, then checked the sensitivity and

optimization of the parts.

. Analysis in ANSYS: Studied Random Vibration, Elasto-Plastic and

Nonlinear Analysis, Structural Static, Modal and Harmonic Analysis,

Steady Transient and Thermal Stress Analysis on various parts.

. CFD in ANSYS: Simulated the Steady and Turbulent flow in fluid

objects.

. CFD in FLUENT and GAMBIT: Performed a study of Steady and Turbulent

flow, Compressible and Incompressible flows and Heat Transfer from the

flow over fluid objects. Using the inbuilt C language compiler,

unsteady flows were analyzed.

Project implemented under Dr. Narh, NJIT, NJ.

. Plastic Design using MoldFlow Insight 6.0: Created a Football Helmet

in Pro/Engineer 4.0, and then simulated Injection molding of the

plastic into the mold to study the air traps, cracks, thermal

stresses.
