Vice President Marketing Strategy/ Business Development

Manager; Eurotech Inc (6/2008 - 12/2009)

Responsible for product portfolio management, product marketing, channel

management and company strategy. Defined and implemented strategy to

migrate company from the embedded board business to system solutions and

hosted services leverageing embedded technologies. For an example,

developed an end-end remote patient monitoring solution based on Eurotech

medical device gateway working with multiple ecosystem partners including

IBM, Roche, A&D Medical, Cypak, MDclick and Continua Health Alliance.

Sr. Marketing Manager; IBM (6/2001 - 5/2008)

Global Engineering Solutions (10/2006 - 5/2008)

Customized Systems strategy lead for cross-industry strategic direction

focused on embedded systems, software and services. Developed an

innovative business strategy that aligned IBM Engineering Services and

with their product offerings, leveraging the strengths of both efforts

into a stronger focus. Led initiative to integrate embedded systems into

an end-end IT infrastructure for vertical industry solutions and working

across IBM business lines to collaborate on the solution. This effort was

baseline for IBM's "Smarter Planet" corporate campaign. Involvement

includes acquisition strategy/analysis and other cross IBM special

projects.

IGS Network Services Americas (3/2003 - 10/2006)

Based on customer and market interest, defined and developed with ten

partners a "first-of-a-kind" next generation, IP-based contact center

telephony infrastructure solution. Leveraged internal IBM contact center

initiatives and needs as well as market driven customer solutions

utilizing a common, shared infrastructure.

Defined a market driven strategy and implementation for enterprise-based

remote teleworking, remote office/branch office and small medium business

(SMB) opportunities using a nationwide broadband services system solution.

Strategic engagements with Cable MSOs, telcos and fiber network

providers.

Software Group - Pervasive Computing Division (6/2001-3/2003)

Developed the marketing strategy for Pervasive Computing "Device-Led

Solutions". Included evolving from a customer-driven business model

towards a market-driven model.

A member of the Office of the President, responsible for corporate strategy

leading a new strategic focus while keeping in line with the existing

Marketing Consultant; Tropical Telecom, Inc. (7/95 --

12/95)

Provided marketing expertise for this start-up company based in Richardson,

TX. Conducted market research for the Small Office/Home Office market,

performed competitive analysis, researched products for Tropical Telecom to

consider licensing for private label distribution. Developed a marketing

plan for a micro-PBX including cash flow projections and an advertising

strategy.

Director of Marketing; BBS Telecom, Inc. (4/94 --

5/95)

Supervised a successful U.S. product launch for this $10 million company.

Managed a staff, of numerous third-party vendors and an $800,000 budget to

market small office PBX telephone systems capable of computer network

integration. Implemented marketing strategies for four product

introductions. Developed sales and distribution channel strategies, and

secured product distribution with the world's largest computer distributor.

International Marketing Manager; Novell, Inc. (3/91 --

4/94)

Created an extensive distribution channel for Novell software developer

kits in more than 30 countries. Designed and implemented the well-received

Novell Developer Relations Programs outside the U.S. Coordinated elaborate

Focus Groups for new technologies being introduced to software application

developers in Europe and Japan.

Senior Product Marketing Engineer; Advanced Micro Devices (10/84 -- 11/90)

Provided marketing expertise in both the Microprocessor and Telecom

Divisions, including account management, competitive analysis, pricing,
