Work Experience:
March 2005 to February 2010: Jacobs Engineering - Project Manager
I managed multiple projects totaling $50 million in this large
petrochemical complex. These projects ranged in size from $150,000 to over
$20 million. I managed these projects in all phases from concept selection
through FEL, project authorization, design, construction, startup and
closeout. I was directly accountable for their cost, schedule and scope.
My project management duties included: managing project teams, preparing
scopes of work, preparing specifications and bid packages for fixed and
rotating equipment, obtaining budget and full funds estimates, preparing
schedules, preparing project authorization papers, supervising design
efforts, interfacing with equipment fabricators and supervising
construction contractors. Some of the project management tools that I use
include: stage gated project management process, interactive planning,
project goal deliberation, PDRI, value engineering, constructability
studies and project execution planning.

Engineering
. Managed engineering staff focused on front end engineering and design
activities for a $100 million mass transit project located in the Peoples
Republic of China with direct accountability for cost, schedule and scope
control. This is a grass roots project with some content provided by
Chinese partners.
. Duties included: managing engineering and design staff, negotiating
contracts with Chinese based project owner, managing conceptual design
with domestic and Chinese design contractors, performing financial
analyses to determine reward or stake, negotiating with equipment
fabricators and providing support to corporate marketing efforts.
