Worked in the encoding department producing the encoding cards used by the public for

entrance to the CTA transportation systems.

Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Responsible for inbound shipments from vendors & returns from customers (RMA).

Supervise outbound parts shipments, i.e. picking, packing & determining best routes

according to customer needs. Supervise cycle counts of multiple parts stocked in warehouse

to insure integrity of inventory amounts. Responsible for safety & cleanliness in the

warehouse. Supervise 12-15 employees.

Operations Co-Ordinator: Responsible for determining routings per customers shipping

requirements. Includes booking shipments on airlines, local LTL and over the road carriers.

Transportation Manager: Private label, fast growing manufacturer of industrial and

household trash bags for various retailers, including Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart, Rubbermaid and

Ace Hardware. Responsible for rate negotiations with carriers, inbound and outbound

transportation coordination, claims, and the start-up of a central distribution facility.

Directed shipments of internal and outside manufacturing to fulfill customer needs and

distribution center inventories. Formed a working relationship with consignees, customer

service and transportation departments.

Alberto Culver USA, Inc., Melrose Park, IL September 1991- February 1995

Warehouse Manager: Responsible for overseeing the documentation of both inbound and

outbound shipments. Personally supervised the loading of all international shipments,

including the review of all customer orders for accuracy and resolution of discrepancies.

Direct involvement with the scheduling of customer pool and LTL shipments, utilizing the

for a 48 state authority carrier. Interacted with both shippers and consignees to ensure the
